After three nights in the Intercontinental, it was back into the world of hostelling. On the upside though I was staying in Cartagena’s beautiful old town, with its cobbled streets, colonial architecture and colour. However when you haven’t got unlimited air-conditioning and a pool to jump into, 35C temperatures and 80-odd% humidity are hard going.
This evening I headed out for a a curry at possibly the finest Indian restaurant in Latin America. However in this climate a chicken vindaloo, rice and garlic naan was nonetheless hard going.
