Another long day was spent on the road, around eight hours. As we came down from the mountains the weather warmed up accordingly. We stayed in a hotel on the edge of a nondescript town containing nothing of note to do or see. Essentially it was a stopping point towards Mompox, tomorrow’s destination. It was great to see that the hotel had a pool but the swimming was interrupted by a cracker of a storm. For a Friday night everything was a bit sedate due to the alarm being set for 5.45am tomorrow.
